This build of Prism is a huge breaking change for current Prism users.
This new guidance will not be a welcomed change for current Enterprise developers of Prism.
I don't understand the addition of a ViewModel locator. Enterprise developers consider ViewModel locator an anti-pattern. Using the Unity DI container is a much better solution and application architecture.
It seems like your trying to redifine time-tesed Enterprise Composite application guidance with Windows Store Application Guidance.
I strongly recommend that you continue to provide Enterprise guidance without the Windows Store guidance jacked into it. This is the same type of misstep that the Windows Team did with Win 8 (mixing Table and Desktop UI).
Instead provide a seperate set of guidence for compostite Windows Store Applications.
Enterprise is VERY different that Windows Store.
