Closed Issue: IRegion.ActivateView doesn't show the View in an XBAP application [9241]

I have a WPF Windows application that I have developed using Prism/Unity framework.

Now I want to convert it to XBAP application as well so it can be hosted in the IIS and can be shared on the network.

I have one Main view (Shell.xaml) that is derived from Windows and rest of the views are UserControls. I have converted the Shell.xaml to be derived from Page Class and made required changes in teh application code to make it work.

Everything works well and there is no error as such but the first view (which is login view should be displayed on the Shell's content region) is not getting displayed. I tried to debug the application and saw that IRegion.ActivateView is getting called properly but some how the view is not getting displayed onto UI.

Can any one tell me why this is happening? If there is any limitation or specific steps to make it work for WPF XBAP application. I also tried RegionManager.RequestNavigate method but no luck.

Let me know if anyone else has faced such an issue before.

Thanks in advance.

Comments:

We are closing this work item, as this is probably not an issue in Prism as XBAPS are currently not addressed in the Prism Guidance. For additional support regarding this subject you could check the related threads mentioned in this workitem and the sample attached, or you could create a thread in the discussions section, where we will help you with your concerns.
